Our everyday life is far from perfect.
It's a chaotic mix of laughter, play, tears & fatigue.
It's a blissful mess of diaper changes, scoldings, hugs, fights between siblings who
just have to have the same toy even though millions of others are scattered all over the house.
It's parents that step on the scattered Lego pieces and swear themselves rotten about it.
In the midst of all the rushing through the days, we rarely pause.
When it comes to enjoying the moment, we often forget about it.
It is something we have to teach ourselves and continuously practice.
This documentary photo session is an attempt to rehabilitate the daily grind of family life.
It is a story of YOUR family´s unique "everyday-ness",
of the daily roller coaster of chaos and love,
a story of childhood and parenting,

SLEEPING OVER AT YOUR PLACE
To make the photo shoot feel natural from the start, I sleep over the night before. That way when the children wake up, they meet a familiar person, instead of a stranger with a camera.
PLAN 2-3 TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Choose simple, typical activities that you usually do anyway: like, going to the park, shopping for food, doing crafts, or visiting grandma. This helps me capture your real life.
KEEP THE FAMILY TOGETHER
Try to plan things that keep you gathered in the same room or
in the same place. It's the relationships between you that I want to capture.
EVERYONE IS IMPORTANT
It's not just the children that are my focus. I want to highlight the whole family in the images, including the parents. You belong in the story as much as your children.
NO POSING
You don't have to worry about smiling for the camera or doing the “right thing.” I document your everyday life, just as it is.
